A lot of romance and a wonderful castle park at the gates of Munich

The baroque castle of Aufhausen (near Erding) is picturesquely situated on a hill in the park, surrounded by its farm buildings, which are full of life: stables, studios, workshops, offices, apartments and a playground for the children of the many young families who live here. Among the castle dwellers are also peacocks, chickens, geese and horses.

With 'own' S-Bahn station 'Aufhausen' (S2 direction Erding) and direct connection to the intersection-free Flughafenentangente East (FTO) Munich Airport can be reached in about 15 minutes and the city of Munich in 30-40 minutes.  

The combination of idyllic surroundings and easy accessibility make up the great charm of this location.  

history

Schloss Aufhausen was first mentioned in documents in 788. At that time it belonged to the monastery Mondsee. Since that time many famous Bavarian families have lived here: the counts Preysing, the counts Armannsperg, the counts Fugger, as well as the families v. Eisenreich, v. Auer and in 1596 the mayor of Munich, Christoph v. Schrenk-Notzing.  

Built around 1720 Freiherr v. Egloff the present castle in Baroque style and builds the castle chapel, which was dedicated to St. Magdalene.

The venerable beamed ceiling, the floorboards and the furnishings with selected antiques give the chapel hall from the 16th century a cozy atmosphere. The five-meter high knight's hall is the main hall of the castle. With its magnificent ancestral images and the floor-to-ceiling, glazed gate to the terrace overlooking the castle park, it offers the elegant setting for any kind of event.  

The Knights' Hall is connected to the chapel hall so that dancing and eating can be separated if necessary.  

The castle chapel

The chapel was consecrated in 1720 by Prince-Bishop Johann Franz von Freising and lovingly restored by the current owner in the past decades. Equipped with valuable furniture from the time, as well as a baroque organ, it is the ideal place of reflection and is suitable for Protestant and Catholic weddings, as well as for baptisms.

The Amalfi Room

The Amalfisaal, named after the wall painting with the southern Italian coast, is ideal for receptions, for a retreat at the bar, as a space for the buffet or as a space for special activities such as photo shooting and the like. used.  

The bowling alley

An insider tip for the cozy evening with friends is the historic bowling alley from 1897, which is still in its original state and still fully functional the fun only. At the wooden tables or on the awning covered terrace there is room for a hearty snack for smaller events up to 30 people. A wood stove and subtle ceiling heaters allow usability even on colder days and evenings.  

The castle park

In the magnificent castle park, unforgettable parties can be celebrated. When the weather is fine you can enjoy a buffet, menu or flying buffet under the shelter of the trees. Upon request, a marquee can be set up.  

The highlight in the park is certainly the legendary, centuries-old, mighty blood beech, often called 'wedding beech'. Here, in recent years, hundreds of people willing to marry have given their marriage promise. In free weddings as in church ceremonies, whether for men & women or for same-sex couples. The atmosphere under the tree is unique: the last steps of the couple in front of the Rosenrondell in front of the castle to the book are among the moments that nobody forgets.  

The bridal suite

An important part of a successful wedding is in any case the romantic wedding night. Especially for these is in the historic castle an impressive bridal suite for the newlyweds available. The directly adjacent (independent from the castle), Hotel am Schlossberg 'is available for the accommodation of wedding guests. There are no long ways, so it can be celebrated carefree.
