Marry me in Guatemala was born only from the desire to spread the Guatemalan Mayan culture throughout the world, its beautiful and magical, colorful culture and landscapes. Perfect Mayan ruins collide constantly with colonial ruins. Native flowers like bougainvillea and the “Monja Blanca” orchids mix magically with the enchanted forest of some of the interior of Guatemala. Where to begin?! Okay, lets start off with how I found out about Marry Me in Guatemala. Before I was even engaged, I knew I wanted to get married in the beautiful city of Antigua, Guatemala, so I started looking up venues, decor, photographers and Marry Me In Guatemala always stood out to me from the bunch. Their posts would get me all excited for when my big day would be (I still had no ring lol) So I started following them for fun. To my surprise, I was engaged a few months later, my fiance and I flew to Guatemala to start planning the wedding and (this is where it gets good) While searching our ceremony venue, I ran into Diego and his staff. I almost had a heart attack from the excitement, as I was standing in front of THE BEST WEDDING PLANNING TEAM EVER! I told them about all the weddings they have worked on (I either sounded like their biggest fan or creepy stalker haha) I would say both. We spoke very breifly as they were preparing for a wedding, but still took the time to warmly hear me out and my vision. From that very moment I knew they were going to be planning my fairytale wedding.
My fiance and I met with them the next day and they saw my entire vision. Pilu was my wedding soulmate. She understood and read my mind with the little information I gave her. I loved her honesty, transparency, sincerity, punctuality, creativity, professionalism, communication skills, JUST EVERYTHING! My wedding couldn't have been more perfect and dreamy, all thanks to the entire team. I am such a control freak, but Pilu made everything smooth, easy, and was always upfront with me. She knows how to manage a budget, can make any vision or theme come true. Having a destination wedding might sound stressful, and it can be if you don't have the right team, but trust me, Marry Me in Guatemala will exceed your expectations without exceeding your budget. It only took one visit to Guatemala to schedule all my appointments with vendors and schedule payments, without the stress of emailing every single vendor. I can't emphasize enough how great Pilu, Diego and Lily were from beginning to end. They made everything so fun and interactive that I miss the "stress" of planning my wedding.
I would 1000% recommend them for your big and special day. You only get married once, make sure you hire them to make it PERFECT. Not to toot my own horn, but my guests still talk about our wedding till this day, and it was last November. Yup!
